We welcome boys and girls aged 5–18 years of all abilities. Whether your child is new to cricket or has played before, there's a place for them at the Magpies.

Absolutely! Beginners are always welcome. Children aged 5–10 years can start with our Saturday morning Cricket Blast program to learn the basic skills before progressing into junior team cricket. Older beginners are also encouraged to join and our coaches will help them develop their skills.

For Cricket Blast, all equipment is provided. 

Junior teams are provided with a kit bag (gloves, bats, pads and helmets) and children require their own protective equipment (box). Club shirts and hats can be purchased through our Shop and we'll let you know exactly what is required before the season begins.

Teams train one afternoon each week during the season. Matches are played on Saturdays throughout the summer cricket season (Terms 4 and 1). Training times vary depending on the age group.

2026/ 27 season 

Cricket Blast is $160 for Term 4 and Term 1. 

Junior Cricket is $315 for Term 4 and Term 1. There is an early bird discount if registered by .....

We understand that playing with friends can make the transition into a new sport easier. While team placements depend on player numbers, age groups and competition requirements, we'll do our best to accommodate friendship requests wherever possible.

If your crickter can bat and bowl with a straight arm, junior cricket is probably the place to be. If unsure please contact us for advice or guidance. 

Mansfield Magpies is a volunteer-run club, and we encourage parents and family members to become involved. Whether it's coaching, managing a team, scoring or joining the committee, every volunteer helps make our club a great place for our players.
